Title of the Invention * | Mobile Phone Contact list/Message archiving in secure manner. |
Problem solved / addressed by your proposed invention
Contact list archiving and message list saving in zip/archive is a way to make a single file type entity of all contact information or messages [SMS]. So that, one can save the contacts and messages [SMS] in the secure memory card of Phone A with technology of Digital Rights Management’s encryption methods. Than add those contacts list and messages [SMS] to another phone B by decrypting the encrypted files of Phone A.
It is many times necessary for us to save our all contact list to the new phone we have purchased. But in that case we are all facing difficulty to do that. As our contact list increased day by day it not possible to save all contact list in to the SIM card. We are saving them into the phone memory. Once we change to a new mobile phone the contact list in the old phone can’t be transfer to the new one. Only those contacts are available to access, those are in the SIM Card.
Why do you feel that the problem being addressed in your invention is not solved by the existing art/prior art(s)?
In the existing prior art user need to copy all contact information in the SIM card storage space partially(due to SIM card storage space limitation) from Phone A memory than after copy all contact list to the new phone SIM card needs to delete all contact information from its storage space. Again copy remaining contact list of old Phone A to the SIM card storage space and copy this SIM card to the new Phone B memory.
In the other means, connect the old Phone A to a PC and extract all the contact information using sync software given by the old Phone A’s manufactures. Export the saved contact list to the new Phone B sync software and later download the contacts list to the new Phone B.
Another way is to upload the entire contact list to a web server thorough the internet connection facility present in the old Phone A and than download all contact list to the new Phone B through internet service.
Background of your Invention
In this innovation we were considering the mobile phone secure memory card to the way of contact information storing and migration of contact list to the new Phone B from old Phone A.
Key-features of the Invention
a. No need for partial copy of contact list form phone memory to SIM card storage space.
b. No need of internet connection to the phone. If phone is in an isolated place out of network or absent of internet service in the phone.
c. No need of sync software or PC to transfer the contact list.
d. Avoidance of insecure Memory card without any protection of contact list and SMS list informations.

Figure 2: Adding contact list and SMS list to the New phone B from secure memory card.
Description of diagram:
Using this concept all contact list of old Phone A has been stored into the secure Memory card with the help of DRM Agent. During storing of data the whole contact list and SMS list should be converted to the UTF8 standard than encrypted with DRM standard algorithm.
During encryption of contact list data the encryption should bind the SIM card number and optional IMEI number of new Phone B with the encrypted data. So that during decryption of encrypted data the DRM agent will able to authenticate the genuine user’s handset.
